Pink Sunday

Recently I've discovered Pinterest, have you? If you haven't been for a browse you should really go, once you've finished reading this obviously! Pinterest is a wonderful place full of beautiful images, like really great things from fashion to hairstyles, from good looking food to wonderful interiors. What is there not to love? So this weeks Pink Sunday is a bundle of goodies from my Pink board.

Pink Sunday

So this week's Pink Sunday is inspired by all the pretty pinks that I found on a break in St Monans in Fife. For a small fishing village there was an awful lot of pink! From pink walls:

So this Pink Sunday is about all the beautiful pink skies and clouds we've been getting in Scotland recently because let's face it, a few pink clouds cheer most people up in January. So here goes...

Pink Sunday

This weeks Pink Sunday is dedicated to the pink things I found on my recent trip home (see my post about it here). Firstly I found a pink wheelbarrow which sadly was not for sale, just a pretty piece of decoration at a garden centre. However, once I become a real grown up and have a garden, I will find a pink wheelbarrow.

I also had a really good rummage around the shop in the garden centre and found a whole heap of Liberty/Hello Kitty stationary, I obviously bought a ton of it.

I used my ASOS llama bag for the first time, which is disgraceful as I've had it for ages (I mean I blogged about it here) now...

And most importantly my mum put pink flowers in my room, she thinks of everything.

Today is a very special pink Sunday because I've had a cheeky dye and my hair is now the colour of candy floss (photo's will follow when I can get myself out of my hangover!). But for now what is better than a sweet pink treat for a Sunday morning.

Pink Sunday - Recipe: Pink Smoothie

Happy Sunday everyone, Sunday is my favourite day of the week, I never feel guilty for doing nothing and anything I do end up doing seems like a bonus. Needless to say, today I did very little - mostly shopping for mama smeeeff's mother's day gift and papa smeeeff's birthday present. Why are dad's so hard to buy for? Long gone are the days of buying him DVD's that I actually wanted... damn.

Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I started my day with eggs, gluten free toast and a smoothie - such a good start to a Sunday.

Of course the smoothie is home made and super tasty, you just need:

• 1 cup of berries (I often use a frozen pack of summer fruits) 
• 1 ripe banana
• 1/2 cup of hazelnut milk

All you need to do is blend it until it's all smooth and creamy. I find that the frozen berries, as well as being a handy frozen staple, they also give the smoothie a really creamy texture that's a little bit like a sorbet.

I'm so very excited about this week's Pink Sunday because I'm featuring a wonder lady that I met through Flickr, after admiring her photography (see her Flickr here) we've become twitter friends and now I get the privilege of writing about her Etsy store!

Weglet runs an Etsy store with her lovely fella and I've got to admit, their shop might just be one of my favourite places on Etsy! The store is a whole bucket load of LEGO jewellery and here is a selection of my favourite, pink items:

Pink Sunday

This weeks Pink Sunday is a make up post, not actual pink make up but pink packaging - my favourite! So at the moment when you buy a Falsifeye Mascara from Boots you get a free Falsifeye Gel Liner Black Gel Liner. Those of you who know me well will know that a big sweep of liquid eye liner is my make up essential, so I couldn't resist trying this gel.

With the liner being a gel I'm totally worried that it won't stick and rub off around my eye (I'll let you know how I get on with that) but I love how it goes on so smooth and it's much softer than my usual liquid liner, see:

All in all, I love it!

So this Sunday I've been nursing a hangover, discovering Bridezillas (I'm officially scared of ALL brides to be now) and singing along to Grease at the GFT!

Grease is one of my all time favourite films, mostly because of the styling, and there's an awful lot of pink, pencil skirts, neck ties, quiffs, leather jackets and jirating... I could go on! Part of me always wanted to be a Pink Lady

 

and I totally blame Frenchie for my obsession with pink hair (even if hers was a mistake):

So basically, not only do I wish I'd lived through this era, I kind of just wish I was living in this film, hand jiving away with John Travolta because no matter how wrong it is, I adore him in this film!

So this week's Pink Sunday has got me all excited. Mostly because it's a little self involved! I've been considering changing my hair for a good few weeks and I've been coveting my red hair (more like Joan from Mad Men) obsession but this morning I decided against it, I decided to give in to the urge to be completely ridiculous and went for this:

Now this Pink Sunday is an odd mixture of cute and weird... These hankies from Not On The High Street are wonderful, I mean, why would you want pink fish on a hankie? Well why the hell not?!

This weeks Pink Sunday is a really tasty one! PINK CAKES! I've spent today making a big roast dinner and cakes with this icing colour (which really is amazing, the colour is so bright):

Which when put into a beautiful vegan cupcake mix (I'm not vegan but I don't eat dairy and Danielle is allergic to eggs, so between us we are almost vegan - apart from the meat eating...) it does the most delightful colour:

And the best thing about this colour is that is doesn't lose the colour when I baked it! So I ended up with cakes this colour with blue icing and fake chocolate buttons. HEAVEN.

Pink Sunday has returned with a very special arrival to my life.. You may have seen my excitement via twitter on Thursday when I realised that my shiny new Cambridge Satchel was out for delivery! I've been resisting for a while but two weeks ago, I finally cave. I would like to formally introduce you to my pink, 15 inch Classic Cambridge Satchel, isn't he beautiful?

 

It's official, I am in love.
